The birth of a vision
The Saveetha Dental College and Hospitals was
instituted in November 1988 with a goal to render quality dental education and treatment.
Many years of toil, commitment and dedication have seen the college graduate from a
concept to reality. Today, on the brink of its tenth year, it is a mammoth educational
institution of no small measure. A force to reckon with, in the field of dental education,
Saveetha Dental College and Hospital has produced several dental surgeons, some of whom
have made their own mark, nationally and internationally. The college is affiliated to Dr.
M.G.R. Medical University and recognised by the Dental Council of India. Under the dynamic
and visionary
leadership of the Trust President, the college has today grown into a post graduate
institution of formidable reputation as well along with paramedical institutions in
physiotherapy, occupational therapy and nursing.

President
The President of the Trust, Dr N. M. Veeraiyan
is a dental surgeon and it was his vision to start a model dental college with all
necessary infrastructure within a single campus. It was with this dream that he instituted
the Saveetha Medical and Educational Trust with a 100 bedded hospital at Erode with
sophisticated equipment and departments in all specialities. The next milestone was the
institution of the dental college and his visionary zeal has resulted in an unparalleled
educational mammoth in the field of dentistry in India. His constant desire to improve
sees the institution in a permanent state of evolution with better facilities and
equipment being added regualrly. Under the aegis of the trust, colleges have also been
started in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Nursing.
