Southern Railway General Manager Mr. N. Kritivasan today launched a web site www.southernrailway.org or www.srailway.com containing all travel related information and announced that online booking would be available by the year-end.

Addressing a press conference launching the site, designed and hosted by FrontPoint Systems, Mr. N. Kritivasan Said passengers could get information online about starting and destination stations, train timings and stoppages, ….

…..Front Point Systems, formed in Chennai and founded by Mr. Arun Shroff, operates from Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai Calcutta and Hyderabad and from New Jersey, USA. The Company has also tied up with strategic marketing partners in Italy, Sri Lanka and the UK. Mr. Arun Shroff said he expected a million visitors, including foreign tourists, within a month.

The Southern Railway's web site www.sosuthernrailway.org or www.srailway.com was launched today. The web site has nine sections and contains information on he history of the railways, besides reservation and ticket and reservation and ticket positions and special announcements. The web site developed by FrontPoint Systems, also allows, the public to send in complaints. The identity of those sending in vigilance complaints will be protected.
