Streaming Media Facility

We ascertain our professional expertise in streaming video facility with the live webcast of the 20th Cinema Express Award, held by the Indian Express Group in the Nehru Stadium, Chennai on the 18th of November,2000. -This was the live telecast of  a three-hour award ceremony covering multiple song/ dance sequences and award presentations. The project involved designing and hosting pages that were live. The idea was to stream video clips of each of the 40 awards, and the entertainment in between them. This was made available to millions of users with enhanced quality of audio and video. It was also meant for users accessing the clips through a 28 kbps line. The webcast made use of high end servers with T3 line bandwidth and Real Media streaming services. This enabled  load balancing in the servers at high traffic during the live webcast.

People all over the world can benefit from this facility for a variety of functions like marriages and other ceremonies.

Streaming media is rendered to the desktop, real time, as it is downloaded. With the exception of a small buffer to compensate for irregularities in the delivery, no data is stored on the local computer.

In streaming media presentation, when the user skips to a different section, the stream jumps directly to that point in the presentation and downloads only the requested information, contrary to the conventional media where the entire content of a media file is downloaded
